Ezine Marketing Magic! How to Write Your Ad.

A properly written ad will work like magic! Ezine Marketing Magic! I will focus on three parts of the ad: the headline, the body and the call to action. Each element will work together to create a very compelling ad that gets the click!

The Headline

This is the most important part of your ad and the start of ezine marketing magic! You have only 2 seconds to grab your reader's attention! You do not want your reader to just skip past your ad after reading the headline. You want to draw him in and peak his interest so that he will read the rest of what you have to say. Be sure to tell your reader the number one benefit of your product or service right up front in your headline.

Some ideas to creating a good headline include:

Make your headline stand out - You can use asterix to do this:***Create Masterpiece Paintings***

"How to..." - This tells the reader they will learn something new that will benefit them.

"Exposed..." - This sounds as though something was being hidden from them. They will want to know what.

"Unlock..." - Something that is locked is considered valuable. Your product will be the key.

"Inside secrets..." - Everyone wants to be on the "inside" group. They want to belong to that select group of people.

"Finally..." - People will usually buy more than one product on a subject. This will be an end to their search.

"Free Bonuses" - People like to be rewarded for buying.

"Take advantage..." - People like to have an advantage over others.

"How I..." - This is more personal than a corporate ad.

"Secrets of..." - Folks like to learn secrets!

"...Doesn't want you to know" - People want to find out what is being kept from them.

The Body

Okay, so you have captured your reader's attention with your headline. Now it is time to swing for the fences with the rest of your ad copy! Let the ezine marketing magic begin!

It is of the utmost importance to reinforce your headline with the rest of your ad. The two must go together.

Always put benefits first and features second. This will create the most alluring ads. You need to understand the difference between the two. A feature tells the reader about your product or what is does. A benefit is how it will help the reader or what he will get out of your product or service. For example: "Live your life pain free" is a benefit whereas "Take only one pill a day" is a feature.

You want to fill your ad copy with tons of benefits. Think about it, if two ads are for the same product and are listed at the same price, but one has more benefits listed, the reader will choose the ad with the most benefits.

Your ultimate goal is for the reader to click on your link at the end of the ad. You need to give them a reason to click the link. This could be to get more information, to sign up for your newsletter, or to buy your product!

The Call To Action

It all comes down to this.

This is your most wanted response.

Inspire the reader to click your link.

Do not just say "click this link now" but say something like "Begin your Dog Grooming career today". This tells the reader exactly what to do next to get started in his new career. It shows the reader a brighter future for himself if he responds by clicking your link.

The headline, body and call to action are the parts that make up your ad. Make each element of your ad the best it can be and you will be well on your way to creating ezine marketing magic!
